My New Home

This is my new home in Belfast. I really like it! Its right in the city centre and only 10 minutes walk from work. I live here with two roommates.

Our kitchen is really nice, we've got a gas stove and a dishwasher! Hurray! Maybe I'll actually have to start cooking now.

This is the downstairs bathroom aka the boy's bathroom ;)

These silly people still don't know how to put together the hot and cold taps.

Upstairs we have three bedrooms. I've taken no photos of the boy's bedrooms out of respect of their privacy (their rooms were really messy haha).

This is my bedroom. Its awesome. I have a king size bed! And a massive window! And I've got my own bathroom! Fantastic!

And finally a view from our window. Could be worse.

Update from the Copenhagen Airport

I know I've been quiet for a very long time, but that is because I've been doing nothing spectacular. I've been living back in Finland with my Mom and Dad. But now things are changing completely. I am moving to Belfast. That's in Northern Ireland. I've lived there before for a short time but now I'm planning to stay for a while.

Right now I'm sitting in a sportsbar called O'Learys at the Copenhagen airport. Theres Mumford and Sons playing and I'm drinkin cider and watching Neatherlands beat the hell out of Hungary in football (the score is 8-1, and yes, I'm talking about soccer).

I've been up since 5am this morning. I took the 6am bus from Turku to the Helsinki-Vantaa international airport. I took a flight at 10.40 towards Copenhagen. I flew with SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and I'm gonna have to say that I would recommend it to everyone! You always get one 23kg bag in the hold for free + cabin luggage. The even forgave my bags being a bit overweight. Then on the plane the gave out blankets, which I really appreciated because I was actually quite cold. Then on top of all this they served tea and coffee for free. I was even able to doze off for a while during the flight so now I don't like falling asleep averywhere anymore!

The bartender here in O'Learys is an absolute legend called Sammy, who kept me company and gave his password to the wireless internet which allows be to do this right now! He also asked if I can write about him in my blog so here it is. There you go Sammy!

I've been at the airport for 3 hours now, and still got like 2 hours to wait before my connecting flight to Dublin. Lets see how many ciders I'm gonna empty in that time.

The Bear Stories

Once there was two bears called Daw and Stuart.
Daw and Stuart the Bear liked the ordinary things in life such as family, good food and great company.

Here is Daw and Stuart hanging out at the House on the Hill in San Sebastian.

They really liked to cook food, especially for strangers from different countries.
Here they are, in the kitchen, choosing which plates to use.

Sometimes after dinner they would feel a littlebit sleepy, so they would take a little nap in their cozy tent.

This is the campsite where they sometimes like to chill out.

And in the evenings Daw and Stuart sometimes like to have a cheeky pint or two.

This is them hanging out in the campsite bar/chill-out area.

Daw and Stuart really like people, and sometimes they would hide in someones pocket or hair just to be close to them. They might even prefer that as a place to sleep in sometimes.

And they lived happily ever after.

This goes to the beautiful McCartney family.

Paris

I spent 6 nights in the official city of love, and it was really nice but boiling hot! The summer has been amazing in the whole Europe though. I had very much trouble sleeping because of the heat, but I shouldn't complain!

Surprisingly, I took very few pictures in Paris. I was so occupied with everyhing else! Here are a few photos that I managed to take:

Sacre Coeur

The Louvre
Arc de Triomphe
Notre Dame

The Eiffel Tower
The view from the Eiffel Tower

A baguette and a bottle of wine. How french is that?

Versailles

It was quite an adventure to figure out the trains, but we made it to the palace of Versailles in the end. First we stood in line for like an hour to get a ticket for Ash (I got in for free because I'm 18-25 year old EU citizen), and then another hour and a half to get into the palace. It was a loooong wait but worth it in the end!

Ashley wasn't too happy to stand in the line for so long

Do you hear the people sing?

Outside

Quite grand, eh?

The Adventure Island

So basically, this was a pirate island, with a Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I love Pirates. I loved the ride.

The light show and fireworks

At 11pm there was this absolutely amazing light show and fireworks. The photos do it no justice.

I added a video as well that shows what it was like a bit better! It exceeded all my expectations! Just wow.
