Spain adventure Part 3: Granada #1

Sunday 5th of April

We woke up to a new morning feeling a bit fragile from the previous night. After a morning croissant we jumped on a bus towards our next destination Granada! From the bus station we took a taxi to our hostel El Granado. I really liked this hostel! The rooms were super nice and the staff we super helpful and gave a lot of good tips on where to go and what to do in Granada.

By this time we were absolutely starving and went to a nearby square to get lunch. After this we went for a walk to get our first glimpse of Granada. I really love this city. Granada is quite small so it's very easy to get around on foot. It is also really pretty and just has a lot of good vibes.

We had dinner at a restaurant called Bodegas Castañeda, which we though was really good. We shared a giant platter full of different tapas. Delicious! After dinner it started to be a bit dark and we headed to the famous Albayzín district. Stepping into this district feels like you have just stepped through a magical portal to Agrabah. This is the Arabic district from Granada's Moorish past. The narrow streets are full of beautifully lit little shops and cosy tea-rooms Teterias. I also just had to buy a pair of these super cosy "harem pants" that were being sold all around! They turned out to be a fantastic purchase and I wore them all the time throughout the rest of the trip. If you keep reading the future posts you will be seeing many pictures of them ;)

Pictures of Granada in daylight coming up in the next post!
