It was quite an adventure to figure out the trains, but we made it to the palace of Versailles in the end. First we stood in line for like an hour to get a ticket for Ash (I got in for free because I'm 18-25 year old EU citizen), and then another hour and a half to get into the palace. It was a loooong wait but worth it in the end!
Ashley wasn't too happy to stand in the line for so long
Next stop on our adventure through France was Nantes. I really fell in love with that city! It is like the 6th biggest city in France but it felt really cozy and it was very easy to get around.

They served cider from that cute cup!
Les Machines de l’île Nantes
Les Machines de l’île is an unprecedented artistic project. Born from
the imaginations of François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice, it is a
blend of the invented worlds of Jules Verne, the mechanical universe of
Leonardo da Vinci, and the industrial history of Nantes, on the
exceptional site of the former shipyards.
That is a straight description from the website Check it its a cool website but basically its just an awesome place that has all these amazing gadgets! I felt like such a child in there! Don't have that many photos, but you'll get the main idea!
But the main thing is the Great Elephant. It is this absolutely massive 4-storey (12 meters) high mechanic elephant. It weighs 48,4 tons and can fit up to 50 passangers. We naturally had to get a ride as well. It was absolutely fantastic!
Here is a video as well! Its not by me, but I thought that it really shows the size of that thing better than the photos.
